Description
Be at your viewers' mercy! Every 30 seconds, a random command is chosen from Twitch Chat.
Inspired by Kaze Emanuar's Super Mario 64 Mod and CrowdControl
Want a similar experience for other versions of the game, or more customisation? Try this mod.
Setup
To start setting the mod up for Twitch, you will need to get a Twitch OAuth key. To do this, click here and login with your Twitch Account.
If you instead want to use Discord, you will need a Bot Token. Go to the developer dashboard and create a bot, then get your token from the "bot" tab.
To start using the mod, type the following commands in-game:
/ttv key <OAuth key> | /discord token <Bot token>
/ttv connect | /discord connect
To change your settings, go into your world folder, and edit the config located at
.minecraft/config/twitchmod-common
To set up the mod for Twitch, you will need to set the channel name in your config file to the name that appears in your channel's Twitch URL (e.g. https://twitch.tv/thisparthere).
Please set values in the config file before playing to avoid issues!
Once you see the connected message, your viewers should now be able to interact with your game! You can disconnect at any time using this command:
/ttv disconnect | /discord disconnect
As of version 3.5.0 you don't have to set your key every time you start the game. Keys are stored in .suck (Serialised Unreadable Connection Key) files.
NEVER SHARE OR OPEN .suck files to avoid getting your account stolen!
(NOTE: if someone is able to see the contents of one of the files for long enough to type out the data, or can view the VOD in the future after you have opened the file on stream, the encoding will not help you. Seriously, don't open them.)
In-game commands
For more info on the usage of in-game commands, type:
/help ttv | /help discord
NOTE: Pressing tab after typing the command will show you all possible arguments.
