Alerium is a mod that adds God-tier tools that are better than Netherite.
In essence, you won't have to enchant these tools at all, unless you want to one-shot the Wither or the Ender Dragon.
To find Alerium, you have to travel to the end and search for Alerium Ore.
Smelt this, and you'll get an Alerium Shard. 3 more, a totem, and 4 stars yield ONE ingot. This is how special this material is.
And yes, this utilizes vanilla recipes, unlike Netherite. You'll need to find 8 ore, kill the wither 8 times, and obtain two totems to make a sword.

I suggest using a mod similar to JEI to view the recipes in the meantime.
