Started for the Ars Nouveau 2021 Winter Addon-athon.

Elemental Spell Foci

This mod adds 4 new curios, a Spell Focus for each of the Ars Nouveau elementals schools (Air, Water, Fire and Earth).

While equipped, in their curio slot, they will amplify and discount spells of the respective school by two and dampen all the other three. (Discount applied to full spell, Amplify/Dampen to single glyph)

At the moment, dampening will only trigger if the effect have an element associated, to not break utility spells like redstone or light.

Discount, amplify and dampening values can be edited in the config, to balance them as you prefer.

0.2.+ : Every focus can give a mana regen boost under specific conditions, this can be toggled off in the configs. 

As extra, a corrupted version of the summoning focus will allow you to get stronger variant of summons that can copy your projectile and touch spell (instead of self/orbit) at expense of their summon time.

The steed will become a skeletal horse. The decoy is not affected by these effects since it can be summoned in huge numbers.

0.3.+ : The corrupted focus is now the Focus of Necromancy. It will raise fallen summons (wolf / vex) as their stronger variant. It will also boost the duration of Anima glyphs, the power of Heal and makes Charm way more effective against undead. If a raised summon kills an enemy, the summoner will be healed a bit. The steed will become a skeletal horse.

Anima School  (0.3+)

This new school includes all spells that meddle with life and death of living. It includes old glyphs like Heal, Wither and Hex, as well as the new Charm and Life Link.

New Glyphs and powerup (0.2+)

*Watery Grave – Water Spell for Drowning Damage.

*Conjure Terrain – Places Dirt. Combo: (Amplify) -> Cobblestone; (Amplify + …. + Smelt) -> Stone; (Followed by Crush) -> Sand; (Amplify + …. + Crush) -> Sandstone.

*Homing Projectile : Projectile that will seek the nearest living entity.

*Arc Projectile : Projectile affected by gravity, adding Pierce will make it bounce.

*Charm : Tame a mob, make it breed or enthrall an enemy for a short time to fight for you.

*Life Link : Share damage and healing with the target, but only with the benefits of it.

Power up – can be disabled

*Freeze + Water Focus -> Apply Freezing Effect, akin to Powder Snow

*Conjure Water + (opt AoE/Pierce) + Freeze + Water Focus -> Conjure Ice blocks

*Ignite + Fire Focus -> Apply Hellfire Burn, reduces healing and allow Flare to hit on fire immune mobs.

*Ignite + (opt. AoE) + Evaporate + Fire Focus -> Melt and evaporate away ice.

*Launch + ExtendTime + Air Focus -> Apply Levitation

Tweaks

*Ignite can melt ice blocks

*Lightning won’t destroy drops

*Flare won’t trigger while the target is in water (will trigger if under HellFire burn effect)

*Crush will target items if augmented by Sensitive. 

Roadmap

*Retexturing foci and curio bag (both versions).

*Utility mob & Familiar choice : Mermaid – Fish farming, cauldron-like blocks refilling – Water based buffs.

*Attempt with enemy mages with a preset of spells (like rare mini-boss).

*Utility mob & Familiar choice: Magma brick golem – Shoot items from an inventory, like a little cannon – Fire damage oriented familiar
