Bad Beacon

Imagine a day where you go to make a Beacon, but you just can't get all the resources. Diamonds are expensive, there's so many resources you need, and of course, there's trying to get those Nether Stars. Maybe, instead of using a Nether Star, perhaps a Heart of the Sea will do just fine, and maybe use some Nether Wart Blocks, just in case. While you're at it, how about a base made of easier-to-obtain materials?

Enter: Bad Beacon. This new creation seems to have a strange purple core, a base of Nether Warts, and it emits a beam of black light instead. The effects aren't the same, instead they negatively impact you. Maybe creating a new Beacon with items of apparent equivalence wasn't so much of a good idea…or is it?

Bad Beacon lets you add more blocks for bases and payment through the magic of Data Packs. Using the tags "bad_beacon_base" for Blocks and "bad_beacon_payment" for Items, you can add your own features for this mod to use. How about some extra little features? Bad Beacon will only affect Players, but with a simple change of config options, every living creature can be affected. See what you can do with the power of a negative Beacon.
