Description
Build Guide
A client-side only mod to project shapes like circles and spheres into the world. It works both in singleplayer and multiplayer, even if the server doesn't have the mod installed.
Usage
If you press the 'Open Build Guide' key (default 'B') you'll get a GUI with which you can plan out a shape. Currently, the shapes available are None (disabled), Line, Cuboid, Polygon, Circle and Sphere. Cycling through them will show or hide their individual options. 'Set base position' moves the location of the little red cube at your feet on which the shape will be based off (e.g. the start of the line or the centre of the circle). This base position can also be moved using the coordinate buttons on the right. Disabling 'Depth test' will allow you to see the projected shape through walls. 'Colors' will open a sub-GUI that allows you to change the four colour parameters (RGBA) of the blocks of the shape and the block of the base position. The state of the base position, colours, and each individual shape is kept between relogging, as long as the client isn't restarted.
Shapes
None: Just… Nothing…
Line: A line in one of the six directions along an axis.
Cuboid: A hollow cuboid with toggleable walls.
Polygon: A triangle or a square or a pentagon or a hexagon, etc. Can be rotated around any of the three axes and can be stacked to form walls or tubes.
Circle: A circle that can be around any of the three axes and can be stacked to form walls or tubes.
Sphere: A sphere, but can be turned into one of six possible domes towards a direction along an axis.
Ellipse: An ellipse that can be around any of the three axes and can be stacked to form walls or tubes.
Ellipsoid: An ellipsoid, but can be turned into one of six possible domes towards a direction along an axis.
Requirements
The Forge version requires Minecraft Forge 35.1.37 or any higher version for Minecraft 1.16.
The Fabric version required Fabric Loader 0.11.6 or higher and Fabric API 0.29.3 or higher for Minecraft 1.16.
Compatibility
Shaders may cause the projections to not be rendered properly, but general Optifine use should be fine.
The mod is designed to run solely on the client, so I would recommend against installing it on a server, as it wouldn't do anything there anyway.
