CustomPrefix

Plugin Source

As of version 1.0.0, this plugin lets users set their own prefixes through any Permissions plugin which supports setting a user prefix with a server command.

Note Regarding Updating

If you update to version 1.0.0 from an earlier version, backup & delete your current config.yml and let the server create a new file (as there were many changes to this file). Then, edit that file as you would like.

Restrictions on Prefixes include:

– Alphanumeric (to prevent server crashes and errors)
– 14 max characters (including formatting &'s)
– 8 max characters (excluding colors specified, this can be changed in the config.yml)
– a bannedwords list that can be edited in the config.yml
– a bannedcolors list that can be edited in the config.yml
– No &k formatting

PermissionsEX & GroupManager (Edit these settings in the config.yml)

If you use PermissionsEX:
setprefixcommand: pex user {PLAYER} prefix "{PREFIX}"
resetprefixcommand: pex user {PLAYER} prefix ""

If you use GroupManager:
setprefixcommand: manuaddv {PLAYER} prefix '{PREFIX}'
resetprefixcommand: manudelv {PLAYER} prefix

General Info:

This plugin also lets have the Console send a message to anyone you want when people change their prefix and adds player prefixes to the config.yml so you can check for abuse. There is a bannedwords list, however, players could still use harmful words, so checking the prefixes.yml file is highly advisable.

There are permissions available for setting and resetting the prefix. Therefore, you can let your admins or premium ranked users change their prefixes, while others cannot.

Commands:

– /prefix check {username}
– /prefix set {prefix} [username]
– /prefix reset [username]
– /prefix reloadconfig

Permissions:
– millenium.prefix.resetothers
– millenium.prefix.setothers
– millenium.prefix.check
– millenium.prefix.use
– millenium.prefix.reload
