Although the pack doesnt actually remove the recipe book from your crafting inventory it does render it unusable. This datapack is a recoded vanilla tweaks pack so if you look into the files you will still find remnants of the old pack. Here is vanilla tweaks: Vanilla Tweaks – Datapacks

This pack is made for DiscoverCraft – Modpacks – Minecraft – MinecraftPatch but the datapack does not require the ModPack. 

Just FYI: you will see recipes in the recipe book for 1 second after obtaining but will then be removed.

This datapack can also be used for no crafting challenges if you enable require recipe for crafting.
