Description
This mod is for the Fabric mod loader and
This mod adds a new mechanic for renewable crying obsidian.
When a ghast dies in a nether portal, all the obsidian blocks that make up the portal frame will be converted to crying obsidian and then shatter into item form.
Ghastly Wail Demo
Why?
– It thematically connects normal obsidian and crying obsidian
– Ghasts' tears mean it makes 'video game sense' for them to be involved in the conversion to crying obsidian
– "But crying obsidian is already renewable through piglin barters! " It is, and I recommend removing crying obsidian from bartering if you use this mod. Here's a simple datapack that does just that.
Clients do not need this mod to connect to servers using the mod.
Does not require the Fabric API.
This mod is only for Fabric and I won't be porting it to Forge. The license is MIT, however, so anyone else is free to port it.
