Glacium Mod

This mod was made to learn how to write mods with forge. I did not like how Oh The Biome's You'll Go added their items as many of them could not be easily toggled, and a lot of the items did not have recipe compatibility so I decided to write my own mod with the help of a friend. The only thing I liked from BYG were the tool upgrades, and so I ran with the idea

The mod adds upgrades to all netherite tools, but are split into two ores:

Glacium – Ore found in the end under end islands

Consists of Tools, all the default ones plus a few extra

Glacium Dagger - This is a mobility weapon, low damage, high attack speed, and when used throws the player forward

Glacium Battleaxe - This is a heavy hitting axe, combined by two Glacium Axes, also capable of mining blocks a hoe can.

Glacium Excavator - This is a combination of both the Pickaxe and Shovel, capable of mining both types of tools, also has hoe and shovel right click capability

Ivory – Ore found in Mushroom Islands

All four pieces of armor can be upgraded, and each have their own unique effects

Ivory Helmet – Grants strength based on actions like sprinting, falling, having the speed potion effect, and elytra flight, stacks up to Strength 4

Ivory Chestplate – Grants the player 1 extra heart, crouching grants the player a new potion effect, Tenacity. Gives the player knockback resistance

Ivory Leggings – Grants the player 1 extra heart, slowness effect immunity

Ivory Boots – Grants additional speed, getting hurt also gives the speed effect, crouching causes the player to fall faster

Other

Blade of Dissonance – Upgrade from the Glacium Dagger, crafted at a smithing table, teleports the player forward in addition to what the base item does

Reinforced Handle – Both a crafting ingredient and a mobility item, holding right click will throw entities the direction you look or throws you back from the block you are looking at

Tenacty Effect – Grants player Knockback Resistance based on level

Future Plans

Dagger will be changed to a projectile shooting weapon

Enchantment for the Dagger which allows the player to hook onto enemies and terrain, pulling you to what you hit, vice versa

Ivory Hammer to utilize the Reinforced Handle for more uses, throwing the hammer would cause an explosion that would not damage terrain

Enchantment for boots/leggings that increase knockback from explosions, but decreases damage taken, intended to be a mobility option when used with the Ivory Hammer

Frozen heart is an item that acts like a reusable totem, has durability, curios support, nerfed to grant you slowness but can take unbreaking and mending

Possibly another Potion effect.
