Ever wanted magic in Minecraft but don't want to commit to those over-complicated ritual magic mods? Then welcome to HLSpells, the plug and play somewhat Vanilla + (+) magic mod. Cast a multitude of spells, all the way from a chain of lightning to just instantly taming your new pet.

Getting Started: To get started you first want to craft a spellbook using a book surrounded by 8 golden nuggets. once you have the book you need to "enchant" thus binding it to a spell. But casting a spell requires something in return. Each spell will cost a varying amount of XP. Now that you have your spells you're ready to wizard away. Spells will also have a chance to spawn in various dungeon loot. Now you may wonder, how do I get a totem? The HLSpells totems each have a chance of dropping instead of the totem of undying when you kill an evoker

You may also think, but now I have all these spells and no room in my inventory for them. Fear not, for there is the Lapis Lazuli Wand and Staff, able to store up to 3 and 6 spells respectively. Through an anvil, you can combine your spells with them to maximize their potential.

Spells:

Slow Falling:

– Slows falling time, negating fall damage.

Teleport:

– Teleports you to where you are looking with a range of 150 blocks.

Blast:

– Explodes dealing damage and pushing back targets within a short radius whilst not destroying any blocks.

Arrow Rain:

– Rains a flurry of arrows upon your enemies.

Bolt:

– Fire a bolt of pure magic, dealing 8 damage. Sneak + Fire to lock onto your target sending a tracking bolt towards them.

Healing Circle:

– Heal you and your allies in a 6 radius while damaging the undead.

Soul Summon:

– Summon a platoon of vexes to fight for you.

Pull:

– Pulls your target towards you.

Lightning Chain:

- Fire a devastating chain of lighting at your target and anything between you and them.

Fireball:

 - Blast an explosive fireball towards your target.

Bond:

– Instantly tame a pet.

Levitation:

– Floats you up to reach areas that would be otherwise impossible to get to.

Lightning Bolt:

– Summons a lightning bolt at your target to smite them down.

Knockback Bolt:

– Fire a magical bolt dealing no damage and pushing your target away, either to doom or safety.

Respiration:

– Replenishes the oxygen of yourself and your allies close to you.

Flaming Bolt:

– Fires a bolt of flaming magic at your target.

Fangs:

– Send evoker fangs hurtling to your target. Sneak + Fire to create a defensive circle of them around you.

Aqua Bolt:

– Fires a bolt of watery magic to either your target or ally, dealing little damage but extinguishing any flames, block or entity. No more burning dogs in the nether.

Absorbing:

– Absorb the water around you as if you were a sponge.

Lure:

– Lure mobs around you to your location. However, not all mobs are dumb enough to fall for your mystical tricks.

Repel:

– Repel mobs from you. However, not all mobs are dumb enough to fall for your mystical tricks.

Flaming Circle:

– Summon a flaming circle around you, burning all who choose to enter.

Piercing Bolt:

– Fire a bolt that ignores armour, dealing a guaranteed 4 damage.

Totems: (Totems also have curios support)

Totem of Returning:

– While holding this totem, upon your demise, this totem stays with you remembering where you died. Right-clicking teleports you back to the death location.

Totem of Griefing:

– While holding this totem & dying this totem causes an explosion, making your enemy wish they had never killed you.

Totem of Keeping:

 - While holding this totem, after your death, your items and belongings remain on you safely.

Totem of Escaping:

– While holding this totem, much like its counterpart, the Totem of Undying, this saves you from death as well as teleports you to a random spot near your death position, and making you invisible to your enemies.
