Crocodile APC –

In terms of new content, the Rhodesian Bush War introduces the crocodile, a domestic built APC of the late 70's. As the name of the pack suggests, the crocodile was born in Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) at the height of the Bush War, tasked with keeping the 16 (+2 crew) troopies under her protection safe from landmines , or rather unfortunate 7.62×39 rounds as they travelled about the land, or externally as was characteristic in her phase of the war – into countries such as Mozambique. From what I can gather, she was about 8-9 tonnes roughly speaking, although this does disagree with the source I did find, I simply can't see it being any other way, being primarily based off a Nissan UG 780 in addition to a few similar Japanese commercial chassis. With a top speed of 90km/h, and an admittedly strained drivetrain, you can expect the braking to be absolutely terrible – forget powersteering too, although you could argue I was a bit generous in that regard. What you will get for your Rhodesian Dollar, however, is protection from 8mm of penetration, a number I roughly came up with given the fact the angled plates are 6mm ballistic mild steel – ample protection against the likes of any pesky terrs hiding in the bush. In terms of firepower, the vehicle is lined with 8 firing ports a side, each ready for a troopie to return fire with their slinger (don't forget to set it to sing). As for the rear doors, I have not made the firing hatches openable, I will chalk this up to budget cuts but in reality I just felt it was a bit too awkward to make work as a position.

As for future content, I don't know – but if anything more comes, it will be a Ratel 90, Eland 90, Mark V, Land Rover Snatch, a Sten mk2, FN MAG, FN FAL and possibly a Canberra bomber, and even less likely, a C-47 in addition to a Vietnam service AC-47D for the fun of it. I provide this list as I have finished the firearm models, and have some progress on the vehicles, but can not honestly say if or when they will be in any releasable condition. Some, such as the land rover, are only the main shape.

  Tips :

– If you arent a fan of the 2048×2048 textures, I have also zipped up 512×512 variants that you are free to swap into usage instead. 

– The spare wheels of the crocodile are best removed from the inside of the vehicle through the wall, and the main wheels by hitting the lower parts of said wheel.

– I'll possibly try to fix the turning wheel animations eventually
