The overall theme is aimed at a blend of alchemy and a more primitive earth science, while trying to keep the game play grounded in a survival themed world that is experienced as much as it can be controlled or shaped.

1.12.2:
MagnumOpus is an add-on to PrimalCore, a lot of the pictured content from 1.7.10 has now become part of Primal. Releases are aimed at being stable and playable while introducing new content little by little. Current content includes expanded cauldron recipes, moon phase and rain detector blocks, weapons, and new mobs. Now that PrimalCore has progressed to a usable state this mod is under active development. This time the wiki is actually being updated as development progresses.
1.7.10:
This version of the mod contains a lot of the original content now found in PrimalCore, early game is much the same and resource gathering and exploration are a key component to progression.
