Mining Expansion is a mod that adds a few features related to mining

List of features that are currently in the mod

• Raw Steel and Block of Raw Steel – you can craft raw steel from three pieces of raw iron and one piece of coal, then from nine pieces of raw steel or smelt it into…
• Steel Ingot and Block of Steel – you can find steel ingots in chests inside desert pyramids or smelt them from raw steel, if you manage to get nine steel ingots, you can craft a steel block. You can use steel blocks as a beacon base and steel ingots as a payment item to activate effects from a beacon.
  • New Flint and Steel crafting recipe – crafting flint and steel from flint and iron no more works. Now you have to use a steel ingot instead of an iron ingot.

• Blasting raw ore blocks is now possible – using a blast furnace, you can blast any raw ore block (block of raw iron, copper, gold, and steel), it takes five times longer than blasting normal raw ore items and gives you a bit less XP than blasting nine raw ore items separately.
