Why hello there! Welcome to our Curseforge page for the Minecraft mod Ora! Ora is a Minecraft mod that is still in the very early stages of its development, which we hope to grow over time. The central focus of the Ora mod is to simply be an ore mod, adding unique and exciting ores to the game of Minecraft! At this stage, we have very few ores and items, but we are making extremely fast progress and will grow over time.

Before I continue, I would just like to add in a link to our public Discord server, for anyone who might be interested: https://discord.gg/WhmvWFyzdt

At this stage, we have 4 'complete' ores – Adamant, Amethyst, Emerald and Ruby. By our (current) definition, a 'complete' ore means that we have a full armour and tools set, with naturally spawning ores and the item actually being used to craft the gear. This can sometimes include 2 items, such as Raw Adamant and Adamant Ingots. The loot tables, smelting, and crafting recipes must also be complete for a material to be considered 'complete'.

Owing to our complete lack of organisation and haste to get our first beta version out into the world, you will see some other items floating around – items that are part of 'incomplete' sets. Two examples of 'incomplete' sets are Sapphire (issues with the armour causing the game to crash) and Mythril. (Issues with ore generation in the End and balancing issues.

The reason we have so few items is because of multiple factors. The first of these is because coding is a fickle thing, and a single comma in the wrong place can (and has!!!) ruined the entire system for naming items, or broken an entire set of armor and tools… Basically, its not as straight-forward and easy as it might seem. Our other reason is because we care about the quality of the mod, and always strive to create the best product we can.

For now the mod is in 1.16.1 but we are trying to update it to 1.16.5. If it crashes/an error comes up try downloading the 1.16.1-32.0.36 version of forge.

Thank you, and we hope you enjoy the mod!
