Pl3xChat

Pl3xChat v2.0 is now available over at the SpigotMC Resources section. \o/

I will continue the plugin over there from now on, but will leave this project page here for legacy versions.

Description

Pl3xChat is a simple chat plugin that gives 3 channels for the server; Local, Global, and Universe. Local chat can be seen by all players within a certain radius of the sender (radius configurable). Global can be seen by all players on the same world as the sender. Universe can be seen by all players in all worlds on the server.

The default chat is local, and the other channels can be used with ease by adding /g or /u in front of the message. You can also use a blank message to toggle that channel on/off so you wont need to keep repeatedly typing the trigger for all messages.

Pl3xChat also supports prefixes and suffixes, along with colors and styles in the chat messages. This includes the ability to set a default color/style chat for specific users (perm based).

To use the chat colors in chat just type &a through &f and &r. The styles include &k &l &m &n &o.

Commands

• /global (text) Sends your text to the global channel (alias /g). Omit text to toggle channel on/off.
• /universe (text) Sends your text to the universe channel (alias /u). Omit text to toggle channel on/off.
• /pl3xchat (reload) Views plugin version and/or reloads config from disk without server restart.

Permissions

• pl3xchat.command.pl3xchat Allows access to use the /pl3xchat command
• pl3xchat.global Allows to chat in the Global channel
• pl3xchat.universe Allows to chat in the Universe channel
• pl3xchat.color Allows to use color/style codes in chat
• pl3xchat.seeall Allows to see all chats in all channels no matter where you are
• pl3xchat.* Gives all perm nodes

Special Permissions

These perm nodes are tailored in your config.yml. These are just some basic default examples:

• pl3xchat.prefix.admin Puts the admin prefix tag in user's messsages
• pl3xchat.suffix.mod Puts the donator suffix tag in user's messsages
• pl3xchat.custom.blue Makes user's chat messages default to blue without using color codes
