This mod focuses on adding items to explore the world in search of diamonds, iron, gold etc… It adds a series of rings that will help you in your prospecting. The rings require the making of sticks of their type, for example for a diamond ring you will need a diamond stick and then,craft the ring with the diamond stick.
Each stick/ring has the ability to prospect the world vertically, from the bedrock to the player position X Y Z, for the sticks you have to right click to activate the prospecting ability with the rings you can equip it in the slot(trinkets slot) of your inventory and the ability will be automatically activated.
Thus, the prospecting ability will probe the Y-axis vertically looking for the ore that corresponds to your stick/ring, once the mineral is detected, a musical note will be played to alert you. example
