Schmucks!

Create your own little army of "Schmucks!" These little people are the building blocks for your empire.

Schmucks and You

Schmucks are autonomous beings; meaning that they are quite hard to control. However, this does not mean that they are impossible to control. A few things of note that are useful when you have Schmucks:

• Schmucks will pick up everything for you. If you don't want them to have an item, right click on them with nothing in your hand to take what is in their hand.
• By default, they will just use the item in their hand like a normal melee weapon. They will actively try to hunt out items, and put away any items they don't want into chests or furnaces.
• If they have a bow or egg, they will instead shoot arrows or eggs. Keep in mind that there is still team damage.
• If they have a pickaxe, they will start to mine nearby ores. These Miner schmucks are pacifists, not attacking anything.
• If they have an axe, they will mine whitelisted trees. To whitelist a tree, shift-right click the very bottom log of a tree with your Schmuck Staff.
• If they have a hoe, they will farm on whitelisted farmland.
• Schmucks, when killed by a player, have a chance of dropping a "Dead Schmuck." Currently, these have no use. However, in later versions, these will have a use.
• Schmucks, when they don't have a tool that they can use on hand, they will attempt to find any nearby whitelisted chests or furnaces. By default, all raw foods will be roasted inside a smoker or furnace, and all ores will be smelted inside of a blast furnace or furnace.

Schmuck Staff

Another way to control your army is through the Schmuck Staff. When you interact on a Schmuck with the staff, a GUI opens up with a few options:

You can also shift-right click the air to control all Schmucks around you.

Stop/Start all Nearby

Stopping all Nearby makes all of your Schmucks nearby stop doing whatever they are doing, and stand still. You can also manually make Schmucks manually stop by interacting with them with the Wand of Control out.

Stop/Start Teleporting

Stopping teleportation makes all of your Schmucks stop teleporting to you. Useful if they are being especially annoying.

Stop/Start Following

Stopping following makes all of your Schmucks stop following you.

Stop Attacking

Makes all of your nearby Schmucks stop attacking whatever target they currently have.

You can also shift-right click furnaces, chests, dirt/farmland and trees to whitelist them.
