Description
~Features~
- Graveyard structure with 8 variations. Home to Ghosts & Vampires.
- Ghosts that can possess armor, animals, and more.
- Vampire Illagers that can pass on their Vampirism to the Player.
- and more planned for the future…
~Vampirism~
Vampirism can be caught by being damaged by a Vampire Player or Vampire Illager. Once caught, you will have an effect called “Vampiris” for 20 minutes. This effect does nothing on it’s own but if left to complete it’s course, you will become a Vampire. Becoming a Vampire cannot be reversed, so make sure to drink milk (or just die and respawn) to cleanse yourself of Vampiris if you do not want to become a Vampire, but if you do, make sure to stay alive and let the effect do it’s thing.
Once you are a Vampire, you will gain buffs as long as you are well fed with blood. Normal food cannot be eaten anymore for sustain and will instead hurt you more, and as you lose blood, you lose your benefits and gain weaknesses to a point of instant death by starvation (no damage overtime, you instantly starve if you hit 0).

Blood can be obtained in bottles or directly from the source. Gaining blood directly from the source hurts the target a bit more but gives more blood while. The requirement to get blood is a bit different depending on which blood you are after. Common animals can be feasted on whenever you want while Villagers requires you to be sneaking in the night… Getting blood from another player requires you to be invisible and sneaking. Getting blood in bottles is done with the same methods but instead of right-clicking your target with your fist, you will use a hoe instead. Make sure to have empty bottles in your inventory.
The above GIF has incorrect food values for the blood, mind you. Animal Blood is 2 blood droplets or 4 in total. Villager is 4 (8) and Player is 6 (12). Directly from the source is 4 (8) from animals, 6 (12) from Villagers, and 8 (16) from Players.
Secondly, as a vampire you do gain three abilities which you can use freely by right-clicking with a sword or axe with an empty off-hand. These abilities do use blood to use however and you can kill yourself by overusing them, so do be careful of that. You can also mute your abilities by having an item in the off-hand as said item will take priority. This mute will take place for a bit even after removing said item though (using another item with an empty off-hand tend to remove the mute prematurely as well).
Note: Vampire Illagers are able to use these abilities when in combat.
The Sword’s Alt Ability is your Invisibility and it costs 2 blood droplets to use, and can now only be used while sneaking. If you aren’t sneaking, your sword ability will instead allow you to deflect common arrows at the cost of 1 blood droplet per arrow.
The second ability with the axe doubles your Strength and Speed passives, allowing you to be an even a more fearsome monster of the night in a fight.
Again though, don’t over exhaust yourself with your abilities, or else you will die… Speaking of Deaths. Vampires have a few extra deaths to worry about… If any Vampire is below 45% of their maximum health, a Wooden Sword will instantly kill them (doesn’t even need to be a fully wind up swing). However, killing a Vampire Illager this way will not apply Looting if the effect is on the sword… As a Vampire yourself, be mindful of fellow players who might be hunting your kind as a wooden sword is a very easy way to end your existence. Upon death, a vampire player will always spawn a bat… It is purely cosmetic and for fun. Lastly, as a vampire, you will learn that the sun is a deadly laser as a vampire’s sun damage is a bit different from the undead. While undead may just only burn in the sunlight and can protect themselves with a helmet, you aren’t an undead… You’re a Vampire. Your weakness to the sun’s harmful rays will always hurt you. Sure, you can use fire resistance to protect yourself against fire as the sun will burn you but it will not protect you from the sun’s direct damage itself… This sun damage ignores armor completely as well, thus it will always do a base damage of 2 per tick it does.

Final two more details… Vampires have a special new weapon enchantment that only works for them. This enchantment is called Leeching and can go up to rank 2. This enchantment applies a new effect called Bleeding to the target (which is also applied when you feed off of a target for blood naturally) and gives a very small amount of blood back to you; an alternate way of feeding but it doesn’t work on undead. The bleeding effect itself is a bit unique… It’s not a damage overtime but rather it deals very small amount of damage when it is applied and removed… But deals large amount of damage whenever the target drinks a potion or has certain positive effects, like regeneration, making it really good against potion users.
~Ghosts~
-Ghosts will spawn from the new Grave Soil Block. This block can only be found in Graveyards and requires a Diamond Shovel to harvest. The block itself also will only spawn ghosts if it is night time in the current world it is in. Ghosts do a pathetic 1 point of damage when attacking, but it can possess multiple different entities and if it cannot possess an entity, it will set it on fire instead which does increase it’s overall damage. Ghosts can possess animal entities, tormenting them by burning their flesh and levitating them. Ghosts can also possess monsters if it becomes hostile to one. When a ghost is possessing a monster, instead of hurting it, the ghost will gift the monster 60% damage reduction. Lastly, and most importantly, if there is a full set of armor on an armorstand, ghosts will possess the armor. The newly Possessed Armor will then fight the player with an iron sword, doing much more damage and having more armor overall. If an armorstand does not have a full set, the ghost will simply destroy it in anger. As a special note, ghosts which possess one of four vanilla sets will turn said set’s helmet into a new Haunted Variation. This special variation will always have Protection IV but it also will have the Curse of Vampirism on it as well, a special new curse which is only applicable to Haunted Helmets. This curse bestows the negative effects of Vampirism to the wearer, specifically sun damage. Haunted Helmets do have a few hidden benefits though… Wearing one will make the wearer immune to spectral attacks, such as the Ghost’s own burning, and it uses Ectoplasm to repair instead of it’s normal material.

~The Future?~
Currently, this mod is being developed for 1.16.5 first and foremost as I don’t want to be working on multiple versions for this mod too much. Once enough content is completed in the mod, I will port it forward to newer versions like I do with my other mods. For now, I want to get more content done. Advancements & Config is even placed on hold until I get at least the first overall Chapter of the mod done as I have many more mobs on my to do list, such as Werewolves, Gargoyles, Banshees, and even a brand new boss: The Lich. Once the first set of mobs is fully done, this mod will get Advancements, a full config base on feedback on the mod, and ported forward to newer versions.
