Description
Time Shall Not Pass! is a server-side only mod that will keep the daylight cycle from progressing when no players are online, and will turn it back on when a player connects. It can also be made to disable random ticks as well as tile entity ticks. All of this can be controlled manually through the configuration file or through commands.
Additionally there is a config option to allow certain players to be excluded – meaning that if that player comes online or goes offline it does not affect the state of the daylight cycle and other modules. I thought this might be useful in the case of spectator accounts and such so that you can still connect them without progressing the daylight cycle. To add an excluded player, just add their UUID to the excluded players list in the config file.
As this mod is server-side only, vanilla clients will be able to connect to the server without issue. That being said, installing the mod on a client shouldn't break anything, but the mod will simply do nothing.
1.12.2 & 1.16.5 Commands
——————————
The timeshallnotpass command requires permission level 4
– timeshallnotpass allowPlayerExclusions [true, false] – Controls whether players added to the exclusion list are considered excluded. Will automatically reload the status of the mod when changed.
– timeshallnotpass disableDaylightCycle [true, false] – Controls whether Time Shall Not Pass! will disable the daylight cycle when no non-excluded players are online. Will automatically reload the status of the mod when changed.
- timeshallnotpass disableRandomTicks [true, false] – Controls whether Time Shall Not Pass! will disable random ticks when no non-excluded players are online. Will automatically reload the status of the mod when changed.
- timeshallnotpass disableTileEntityTicks [true, false] – Controls whether Time Shall Not Pass! will disable all tile entity ticks when no non-excluded players are online. Will automatically reload the status of the mod when changed.
– timeshallnotpass exclusions – Gives you a list of the excluded player uuids.
– timeshallnotpass exclusions <add, remove> <Player> <reload, defer> – Adds or removes a player from the exclusion list with the ability to reload the status of the mod now or defer the new exclusion status until the next time the player logs-in. This does require that the player is currently online. The intention of deferring the exclusion is that the player will log back in before the server is restarted, as the list of exclusions being deferred is not saved and will disappear when the server closes.
– timeshallnotpass refresh – Use this only if the mod gets your world into an incorrect state. Set disableDaylightCycle, disableRandomTicks, and disableTileEntityTicks to false before running this for best results. If something does occur to put your world into an incorrect state, please come here and make an issue if you can and I will investigate.
New Features Coming
————————–
– Hopefully the ability to disable redstone ticks
– Ability to "pause" weather ticks, essentially restoring the weather as it was when the last non-excluded player went offline
– Possible mod-integrations in the future for mods like Serene Seasons – since seasons still pass when a player excluded in my mod is online.
