Description
What even is this?
I found that I quite like Industrial Foregoing, though for a modpack, Minefactory Reloaded added quite a bit that has not yet been included in its successor. Rubber trees, specifically had a great look and feel, and were an interesting alternative to those provided by IC2.
Introducing Foregoing RubberTrees – basically it's 1:1 MineFactory Reloaded's rubber trees as a standalone feature, to build on top of Industrial Foregoing and other mods that require rubber and/or plastic.
What's included?
The mod includes configurable worldgen that spawns rubber trees in specified biomes and/or dimensions, along with rubber saplings that can be planted for regrowth. Each rubber wood log broken will also drop one raw rubber that can be cooked into a rubber bar (for use in any recipe that accepts itemRubber) which can then be cooked into raw plastic – crafted into plastic sheets.
Optionally, you can remove the Industrial Foregoing plastic sheets from the itemRubber ore dictionary, since this mod includes rubber bars for that purpose.
Can I use this in a modpack?
Absolutely. I also have no problem if you wish to create derivatives or modify the code in any way. I claim no rights to the assets used in this mod. HOWEVER – you may not monetize this mod or any pack using it.
Localization?
Feel free to reach out if you want me to add a new language and don't mind translating. There are only 11 lines in the language file so it wouldn't be difficult.
Something Broke! Plz fix!
This mod is provided as-is, without any expectation of support. I'm not responsible if it melts your computer. That said, feel free to leave a comment or open an issue. I may or may not get around to fixing any breaks.
1.13, 1.14, 1.15, 1.16+ plz! When?
Nope. The source is linked above. Feel free to fork and do it yourself.
