Description
Hello. My name is ADDSynth, and this is the Overpowered Technology mod for Minecraft.
Description:
(New description is coming soon!)
This description was created on November 20, 2018, and describes about 80% of what was in the original release.
Firstly, this mod adds 5 new gem types, Ruby, Topaz, Citrine, Sapphire, and Amethyst. There's also code in-place to generate Vanilla Emerald. Put those together along with a Diamond and a Nether Quartz and you get the Energy Crystal.
This mod also adds 8 metals, Tin, Copper, Aluminum, Steel, Bronze, Silver, Platinum, and Titanium. They all have ores except Steel and Bronze because those are manufactured. They are not found naturally in the world.
Anyway once you get some Energy Crystals and some metals then you can create some of the machines. The machine you always create first in any tech mod is the Generator. Throw in some Energy Crystals to feed energy to your machines.
The Compressor is pretty self-explanatory. This compresses metals into plates which are used to craft some machines.
The Gem Converter is also self-explanatory. This allows you to convert one gem type into another.
Now we get to the Inverter, which turns your Energy Crystals into Void Crystals. The Void Crystals allow you to create more advanced machines.
The Light Block, crafted with 9 Energy Crystals, is so powerful it gives off light. And the Null block, crafted with 4 Void Crystals, has no collision box. You pass right through it. You can't even place blocks on it either! You have to place a block IN it to replace it.
You can craft Energy Tools and Void Tools. Each have special properties. Energy Tools last 3x as long as Diamond Tools. Void Tools are still being worked on right now but I think I will eventually settle on the idea that the Void Sword can insta-kill around 200 mobs before being destroyed, but you won't get any drops from mobs killed with the Void Sword. The rest of the Void Tools will have a similar ability, something along the lines of perma-destroying blocks very quickly. To offset this power, None of these tools can be enchanted.
We have lasers! Initially, we have Red, Green, and Blue lasers. Place the laser Cannon on the Laser Machine, then connect it to power. Right-click the Laser Machine and specify how far you want the laser to go, this will determine energy usage. When the Laser has enough energy, activate the Laser Machine with a Redstone signal to fire it! The Laser Beam will destroy 1 block each tick, and drop the block as though a player had mined it. Entities caught in the laser beam will get set on fire.
The portal has some complicated rules on how to build. But once you build one, the portal takes you to a weird / unknown dimension. It's a flat world, which seems kind of off-putting having just been in a normal world. nothing but grass for miles. No entities spawn, And I eventually want to make it so you can't mine or place any blocks. But there in the distance is a tree. Once you mine the tree you get an Unknown Technology Item. Once you pick it up, you are instantly transported back to the overworld. The Unknown Technology Item is used to craft the highest-tier machines.
The Music Box is a Minecraft Music Maker's dream. Once in the user-interface, you see a grid of 8×8 cells. Each column is a frame, and each row is a track. On the left are buttons to change which instrument the track plays. Press keys on the keyboard to change your currently selected note. Left-click to place notes in the grid and right-click to delete them. On the top left are controls to change the speed, and on the top-right is a button that cycles through all 6 directions. When this Music Box is done playing it will search in that direction for another music box. Activate a Music Box with a redstone signal.
The Advanced Ore Refinery will double your ores! This will automatically smelt Ores from other mods if they've added their Ores in the OreDictionary. If it doesn't, there's probably an Ore Name that I'm not checking for. Tell me which Ore and I'll add it. This machine can only smelt Ores.
For no reason at all, this mod also has trophies! They have a custom block model. You can craft them and set them down like blocks!
When you kill monsters, there's a small chance they will drop unidentified armor! You can't use unidentified armor until it has been identified in the Identifier machine. Once identified they will get random enchantments. There are also Rings you can wear! Using the Baubles API, place them in your baubles slot to gain mob effects for infinite duration.
With enough Void Crystals and a Fusion Core, you can craft a destructive Black Hole! As soon as you place it on the ground, your Minecraft world will lag for a bit as blocks and entities are being removed in a giant spherical pattern! A warning message will appear for all players in that world telling the coordinates of where the black hole event occurred. If you put this on the ground, that usually means you are caught in the black hole's sphere of influence and will not survive! (The Black Hole will not kill players that are in Creative or Spectator gamemodes.)
There's also a final machine gracefully called the Fusion Energy Converter or some variation of that. The instructions to build one are quite complicated, but if you get it to work this will give you infinite energy. But be careful, If any part of the machine gets damaged while it is running, or you try to take out the Fusion Core while it's running, this causes a huge explosion. So be sure to turn it off first if you plan on doing anything with it.
All of these features can be toggled off or tweaked in the Configuration.
We support 27 languages, thanks to Google Translate. So I guess that means they are only 70% accurate. Still better than nothing I suppose.
Soon to be available in all versions of Minecraft.
Sorry, most of our textures are HD textures by default. Please don't complain that this affects performance because it doesn't affect it as much as you think it does. But they're still pretty simple-looking because, I'm not an artist, I'm a programmer.
