This mod has been re-made three times, and this latest standing version is for 1.16.5 with all of the newest features, however there is an older less-cool version for mc 1.12.2.

This mod was made to "Nuke" all of the normal minecraft terrain generation. Just install the mod and start a new regular world and you'll find it to be completely devastated.

You can still find normal healthy vanilla biomes out there amongst the various types of wastes, though they are very rare, and that makes it quite a treat to find one.

We have added 8 custom-modeled Mobs/Creatures inspired by Fallout New Vegas, to make up for the lack of vanilla mob spawns in waste biomes.

There is now a Radiation effect and a craftable Hazmat suit in the latest version, beware of the Toxic and Harmful wastes biomes.
This mod adds a purpose-less Uranium Ore block (with a flashy animated texture!) that also has radiation, you can use CraftTweaker to have other tech mods utilize this ore and config their uranium to not generate, if you would like to keep the radiation immersive.
