Important Notes

We recommend downloading the latest build of OTG for the version you want from https://github.com/PG85/OpenTerrainGenerator/actions

OTG development happens quickly and Gehenna takes advantage of bleeding-edge features, so stay up to date.

While builds downloaded from the Gehenna MinecraftPatch often does not provide builds that support earlier Gehenna versions, you can join the Gehenna discord and get long-term support for the builds you download.

Due to slowness to update from the OTG dev team, the authors of Gehenna retain a private fork of OpenTerrainGenerator for 1.19, which can be downloaded here: OpenTerrainGenerator for 1.19.

The private fork works with all currently-updated OTG presets, not only Gehenna, although some bugs exist and ONLY PAPER IS SUPPORTED.

The last two messages will be removed when official OTG is updated to 1.19.

About Gehenna

Are you bored with Minecraft 1.16’s nether changes already? Well Gehenna is for you. Gehenna comes with numerous new biomes, and the nether’s shape has been altered to look like something out of this world. Gehenna goes all the way up to Y=256, so no more worrying about that short nether world!

Gehenna has been expertly designed to be scary to traverse, but not in a frustrating manner. You will be in awe of how far you can see inside of the nether and how amazing the world and all its features looks.

Gehenna actively supports but 1.16.5 and 1.18.X on both Forge and Paper, just make sure you install OpenTerrainGenerator first! Download the version you wish to download on the files page.

If you’re on Forge, Gehenna supports other nether biome mods like Oh The Biomes You’ll Go and Biomes O’ Plenty, meaning you can have your cake and eat it to with regards to other nether mods.
