Terralith is a datapack (packaged as a mod) designed to fundamentally overhaul the overworld with new biomes and caves. It accomplishes this without adding any new blocks, making it fully compatible with vanilla clients.
This mod is the culmination of nearly a year of work and more than 500 hours of effort and research. Terralith adds over 65 brand-new biomes, as well as updating almost every vanilla biome with new and improved features.
Lush Caves and Dripstone Caves have been added to generation, along with many of my own. Terralith's underground is a place with as much variation as the overworld above – there are new types of cave shapes, new cave biomes, and even caves made completely of the alternative stone types. Terralith uses the experimental extended world height, however, so you'll need to create a new world if you want to use the mod.
I've crafted a world designed for explorers, builders, miners, and everyone in between. There's something for everyone — If you like to build in realistic biomes, check out Yellowstone or Monument Valley. If you're a fan of fantasy, we've got Moonlight Grove and Mirage Isles. And, of course, if you miss the good old days, you can seek out the elusive Alpha Islands.
Do note that Terralith is not compatible with most biome mods that modify the overworld. Most structure mods should work fine.
